Dictionary.com defines the term “Politically correct” as  (noun)  ”marked by or adhering to a typically progressive orthodoxy on issues involving esp. race, gender, sexual affinity, or ecology.”  Merriam-Webster similarly defines Politically correct as “conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated.”
